!!! REQUEST STOP!!!

There are not so many people in the collective at the moment and we have to restructure our collective a bit. So unfortunately we can’t answer any more requests for bigger events at the moment.
That is events which take more than one day (without break) and interpretation that is needed in several events at the same time.
If you are planning a small evening event or just want to borrow some equipment, you are welcome to send us requests.

Open meeting with InterpRise
 January 8th, 6:30pm at Eisenbahnstraße 125

Have you ever found yourself in an interpreting situation where you had to whisper into the ears of three people for several hours? Have you ever suffered in sympathy with people who had to do that and thought to yourself that you neeever want to do that? Have you had somebody whisper into your ear for three hours?

Well we have and we are here to change that! If you are too, then we would love to meet you!

We are InterpRise, an activist interpreting collective based in Leipzig. Some of us work as interpreters, others do not. What unites us is our ambition to support other activists who oppose the capitalist and discriminatory society we live in.

Most of us live in Leipzig (or Hamburg) but we support events all over Germany and even outside of it. We do that by interpreting ourselves, facilitating interpretation or by setting up DIY interpreting tech. We like travelling and networking with other collectives to support each other in the fight for language justice.

We are currently searching for new members. Whether you have already interpreted or never touched a microphone, as long as you are interested in working with languages, technical equipment and very very nice people, you will fit in perfectly!
If you want to hear more, join us on January 8th, 6:30pm at Eisenbahnstraße 125, Leipzig.

We are looking forward to meeting you

We are updating the content of the website. This takes some time. That’s why the content in all languages is not completely consistent at the moment. If you have any questions, just write to us.
